Stepwise Guide to Using an APC Kiosk

APC kiosks are user-friendly machines. However, it is helpful if you are prepared for the experience.

Step 1

At a US airport, when you reach the immigration and customs section, you will be asked the visa type you are using for entering the country. From there on, if you are found eligible for using an APC kiosk, you will be guided to a separate queue.

Step 2

At the APC kiosk, select a language of your choice. Next, select the travel permit you will be used for entering the US and scan it on the machine.

Step 3

Verify your identity by scanning your fingerprints and getting a photograph taken.

Step 4

Fill out the US Customs declaration form electronically. Afterward, the machine will generate a receipt with your information on it.

Step 5

You will now have to proceed to get your receipt reviewed by a CBP officer.
